5 Months Old

1,000 Words Photography

Bruce and I are so blessed with such a healthy boy. He is growing like crazy!
He is so alert and expressive. Such fun! He is still enjoying his mommy's milk and has started eating rice cereal before his bath. We will start adding the cereal to one of his daytime meals as well. Then, bring on the veggies!

There aren't enough hours in the day. That seems to be my recurring thought these days. I look forward to any time I can spend with this sweet little guy. No matter how much time I get, I always want more. I guess that is only natural.

I know the time will come when I can't kiss him as often as I do...
Until then, I can't keep from kissing his sweet little cheeks. I love how he grins when I do. It is a non-verbal communication that I hope to continue as long as I am allowed. I want him to always know how much his momma loves him. I thrive on physical touch, and I just can't help but express it in the same way!

Halloween 2010
Meet my little calf... He was such a trooper at the Freenys' Halloween Party.
Of course, he wanted to stay up late and socialize with everyone.
We weren't completely surprised by that.He was a good sport and loved all of the attention he received! My little socialite.

The weather was PERFECT this weekend for a family photo shoot! It was great to actually have Bruce in some pictures for a change. He and Alan have such a great time together. So few people actually get to see how great they are together.
It is our little secret, I guess.

He continues to surprise me daily. He has such a soft way with Alan. Anyone who knows Bruce can appreciate his new-found warmness. This tenderness was something that I have been the recipient of for that past 5 years, but to see the man I love transform before my eyes into the father I knew he would be is remarkable.
I just stood in majestic awe as I watched them take a bath together last night.
Bliss. That is the only way I know to describe my heart's cry.
