Wow...So blessed...
It's been a while. And for that I am apologetic. I am, however, extremely satisfied.
I have been completely engrossed with my two sweet guys for the past three months.
Summary of our life since my last post:
First Ulrich Three Family Vacation
Bruce, Alan, and I enjoyed a great time in Seagrove in July.
We knew we were in for a busy time with our little guy, but I wouldn't have had it any way.
Yes, the beach house we rented ended up being less than perfect, but the owner was accomodating for its shortcomings.
We had a great time going to the beach, relaxing at the house while Alan took his naps, and eating delicous meals at local restaurants and grilled at home.
Back to School 2011-2012
Alan started back at Ms. Michelle's the last week in July so I could get my room ready and get going on planning for the start of school.
Things haven't slowed back down yet! I am extremely thankful for the time I was able to have at home with my sweet boy this summer.
Great News of Baby Ulrich #2
After careful planning and contemplation, Bruce and I decided the time was right to try for another sweet baby. We are extremely blessed to be expecting Baby Ulrich #2! We went to the doctor on August 31st to see our sweet new little one and get our approximate due date. He or she will be born on or around April 9! Mommy and Daddy couldn't be happier!
We have already begun preparing for the extra space needed.
We no longer have a guest bedroom. We were able to give our extra queen bed to family (and sweet friends) for safekeeping while we have other needs for our second bedroom.
We will soon have a big boy room and a nursery.
The transition will begin some time around Christmas, I figure. We aren't in a huge hurry to rock Alan's world just yet. We are going to play it by ear, but the next step is for Alan to get a big boy bed and dresser. When that happens, we will move the baby furniture into the second bedroom (previously our guest bedroom and currently housing our office).
Project Mobility
Oh my, Oh my...
We have a walker!
If anyone told me that I would look up one day and no longer have a baby, I would have never believed it. But that is how it happened, it seems. One day he is starting to pull up, the next he is darting across the room!
Things are a bit more interesting around our house these days.
I love every bit of it, though!
29th Birthday
Each year, I am extremely blessed by friends and family. This one is no exception.
I am one lucky girl. I had a great time celebrating with Bruce with a dinner out at Parker House and a movie The Help afterwards.
Momma came down to spend time with the sweet little man while Bruce and I celebrated. The service we received at dinner was a feat to be reckoned with. The delicious meal, intimate setting, and exquisite service was nothing but entrancing.
Labor Day in Grenada
We took our annual trip to Grenada to celebrate Labor Day out in the country.
We had a great time visiting with family and relaxing for the weekend.
Farewell Party for my sweet Brother
For those of you who do not know, my little brother is being deployed on October 1st with the 288th Sapper Unit. We had a great time celebrating you, John Daniel.
We will see you off with pride and reverence.
