Ten months, to the day, Alan's first top tooth decided to come through. Bless his heart!
What am I saying? Bless our hearts! Teething is as hard on mommy and daddy as it is on Alan, I think.
He has a few favorite toys right now. One is the stuffed giraffe that Bruce brought home from Las Vegas and the others are the Little Tike school bus and airplane. One of my favorite things he is doing right now: playing with the Tupperware cabinet while I am busy in the kitchen. There is just something sweet to me about him entertaining himself with things that aren't bright and noisy and well, obnoxious.
For the past week, Alan has had an insatiable appetite! We think he is growing again. Last month, he slimmed and began to look thinner, but my Alan has chubby cheeks and rolls on his legs again. I love my healthy little boy!
He is much more mobile than I thought he would be at this point! He is scooting around all over the place. He is getting super quick, too. Bruce and I are like hawks watching his every move. He has this funny look he gives us when he reaches for something that is "not for Alan". Bruce describes this look as him asking "Is this okay?"
Alan is still a talker! He now says "ba-ba", and throws in an occasional "ma-ma" with his constant "da-da"s. He is definitely a daddy's boy still. As soon as Bruce walked in the house tonight, Alan dropped the toy he was playing with and started crawling towards Bruce's voice. He made it half way down the hall from his bedroom before Bruce made it to him. Of course at first sight, his arms raised up and he started bouncing. He loves his daddy!
Bruce and I are so blessed to be the parents of this sweet little boy.

Bravo! Love the way you write...it stirs my emotions definitely. Thanks for compiling this all together to show how blessed we are.
